Remote Camping in Iceland

About Haukafell Camping

Haukafell is a remote camping site in the southeast of Iceland. This area is a hidden gem in Iceland that locals love to visit in the summer for the stunning natural scenery. Our campsite is conveniently located near the remote Fláajökull glacier, offering an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts with many marked walking trails new by.

At the moment, there is no electricity, but this is something we are working on, and we plan on having electricity at the campsite in the summer of 2024.

We also rent out 16m2 Canva tents with bedrooms and linens. Find more about them on our

Rent a Tent

We understand that not everyone has their own camping gear, which is why we offer a convenient tent rental service.

Our canvas tents are spacious and comfortable, with 16m2 of floor space to accommodate up to two people. Each tent is fully equipped with pre-made beds and a cosy setup, so you can relax and enjoy your stay without having to worry about the logistics of setting up camp.

Our tents are made from durable and weather-resistant materials, designed to keep you dry and protected from the elements. You can rest easy knowing that you’ll have a comfortable place to sleep, even if the weather takes a turn for the worse.
